Allen Lund Company (“ALC”) is a national third-party transportation broker with nationwide offices and over 500 employees. ALC works with shippers and carriers nationwide to arrange for dry and flatbed freight.

Project Details

ALC was utilizing extended support (Database and applications) from Oracle on hardware supplied by a third-party vendor. They were running into challenges as they were utilizing de-supported versions, so they came to Vigilant to upgrade Oracle EBS to the latest version and migrate their platforms to Oracle Enterprise Linux. This included retrofitting their customizations to be compatible with the new EBS version and also to adhere to online patching standards.

Why Vigilant

Vigilant had provided professional services to ALC on a clone and DR project. As ALC systems were on older version, Vigilant was approached to help ALC upgrade to the latest version. We completed their project with minimal downtime through a phased upgrade approach that was completed over a period of 2 weekends. With very negligible post go-live issues, Vigilant was able to resolve all of their significant issues within the first 3 days.
